The Broker â€” The Short Version

TabTrade went live in March 2026. Online broker registered in Saint Lucia, under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.

His background tells you something. It suggests the leadership is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. But more reassuring than a founder with no industry background.

TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. These guys went the other way. Unusual for a new broker.

The instrument list: FX, indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, shares, crypto, exchange-traded funds. Over 1,000 instruments. For something that launched in March 2026, that range is solid.

Platforms

You get: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both MT5 and cTrader from the same login. A lot of brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Having both matters. Pick what suits your style.

MetaTrader 5 is the default. Complete charts, EAs, tons of scripts and indicators. If you know MetaTrader previously, it is familiar territory.

cTrader by Spotware is the cleaner option. Better depth of market. Smoother chart interaction. Native automated trading. A lot of traders like it better than MT5 after comparing.

Direct FIX connectivity is offered for algo traders but needs the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView is said to be on the roadmap. That should make the platform set once it is live.

What You Pay

Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. No commission. Simple. No minimum deposit. Good for beginners.

Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the actual interbank spread is often a fraction of a pip. So your actual cost per trade can sit below 0.5 pips. That is good for an offshore broker. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade requires zero deposit.

VIP. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, faster fills, negotiated fees. Not something most retail traders. Skip it unless you trade institutionally.

Infrastructure

This is the area where Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix LD4/LD5. Under 30ms on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. Those are not marketing fluff. Most retail brokers quote 100ms to 300ms.

Should you care? If you scalp, yes. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you trade higher timeframes, you will not notice. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That is what kind of broker this is.

Pair that infrastructure with the Edge account pricing and the total package is strong. Few brokers at this price point offer execution like this.

Regulation

Now, the detail that requires honesty. TabTrade is regulated by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No CySEC. No government-backed safety net. If that is a problem for you, look elsewhere. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.

However. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not bother with tier-1 data centre access. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. It does factor into your assessment.

The deal: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether this deal makes sense comes down to your priorities.
