TabTrade - Is It Worth Opening an Account
TabTrade — The Short Version
TabTrade launched in Q1 2026. Online broker registered in Saint Lucia, licensed through Saint Lucia's FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, a New Zealand-regulated broker.
That last detail is relevant. It means the leadership is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. But preferable to a random name you cannot trace.
TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres prime brokers run on. The typical new launch focuses on ads and sign-up promos. TabTrade did the opposite. Not the typical playbook.
What you can trade: FX, stock indices, metals, commodities, equities, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. Over 1,000 instruments. For a platform that launched in March 2026, that coverage is solid.
The Software
You get: MT5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Both platforms from one account. A lot of brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Getting both makes a difference. Use whichever you prefer.
MT5 is the default. Complete charts, EAs, huge user base. If you have traded on MT4 or MT5 before, it is familiar territory.
cTrader by Spotware is the cleaner option. Better DOM. Faster charting. cBot support. Plenty of traders like it better than MT5 after comparing.
Direct FIX connectivity is there for algo traders but requires the VIP tier ($25,000 deposit). TradingView charting is said to be on the roadmap. That would be a good addition when it lands.
Costs
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Straightforward. No minimum deposit. Suits beginners.
Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the raw spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. So your all-in cost sometimes sits under half a pip. That is good for an offshore broker. Most platforms that offer pricing like this want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade does not.
VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not relevant to the average person. Do not worry about it unless you trade institutionally.
Execution Speed
The execution is where Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix data centres. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. These are institutional numbers. The average platform operate at 100ms to 300ms.
Should you care? For short-term trading, it does. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you swing trade, it matters less. What matters is the infrastructure is there. That says they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Combine those fill times with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the overall offering is strong. Not many platforms with no minimum deposit run Equinix connectivity.
The FSRA Question
Now, the part you need to be straight about. The broker is under the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No FCA. No government-backed safety net. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a dealbreaker, this broker is not for you. Lots of FCA-regulated options out there.
However. Benjamin Boulter spent years at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The server placement is not cheap. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in tier-1 data centre access. That does not replace tier-1 regulation. It does be part of how you think about it.
The deal: you give up tier-1 protection. In exchange: high leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether the trade-off makes sense is your call.
Deposit Bonus
Tab Trade has a welcome bonus of up to $2,000. Typical welcome offer. You put money in, the broker add bonus funds. The normal fine print: turnover conditions before you can withdraw the bonus. Check the terms before funding.
